Position Description: In consultation with a principal investigator, partners, and study team, this full-time position primarily manages and implements complex study designs; monitors, analyzes, and interprets data; and assists in the writing of fact sheets, reports, abstracts, and manuscripts. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with strong time management, communication, writing, and statistics skills.

Must have the ability and enthusiasm to travel domestically and internationally, including to low- and middle-income countries, and be able to work in groups as well as independently with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will be sensitive to diverse populations and cultures, will exercise independent judgment, initiative, and innovation in dealing with routine, novel and more complex matters, consulting with the PI as needed and must be able to manage multiple tasks concurrently; and meet deadlines with attention to quality.

Qualifications: MINIMUM:

Bachelor’s degree in related discipline and five years of related experience and demonstrated knowledge of global and international development issues with experience managing projects and relationships with multiple and diverse stakeholders in this landscape. Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

JHU Equivalency Formula: 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job.


Master’s degree in public health or related discipline and experience working in low- or middle-income countries, be familiar with tobacco control and have some fluency in Mandarin, Vietnamese, and/or Bahasa Indonesia desired.
