Position Description: In support of the Project Director and IT Lead, this senior leadership position provides IT project planning and oversight to IT staff management, and project technology services and deliverables. The seasoned technology professional will assist in managing all aspects of technology-focused Task Orders, ably using Agile methodologies in design and architecture. They must be able to check all the boxes of skill sets to instruct and manage a team of IT professionals - developers, analysts, content managers, etc.

He/she has experience developing and maintaining work plans, leading and coaching staff teams, and supervising the quality and timeliness of deliverables. The ideal candidate has experience on public health projects, particularly on Federal government projects, and an understanding of HIV, STD/STI, TB, and Viral Hepatitis associated prevention and control challenges, interventions and policies.

Key Duties and Responsibilities • Work directly with client project team and, under the direction of the Project Director, helps to manage technology Task Order managers. • Oversee technical task areas such as website development, content migration, graphics development, 508 and accessibility compliance, database and data source management • Collaborate with nontechnical lead to ensure integrated and cohesive task execution across all task orders • Contribute to the planning and review of strategic goals for IT projects • Act as facilitator to introduce solutions-driven technology applications and concepts to work teams • Build strong cross-disciplinary relationships with work teams in an Agile development environment • Manage and work alongside staff team to assure work is performed within scope and compliance • Respond proactively to challenges and difficulties clearing the path to quick resolutions

Qualifications: Qualifications and Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Technology related discipline (CS, MIS, etc.) • 5+ years web development Projects (Microsoft .Net/SQL Server, Drupal) • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred • Strong IT Innovation Management, User Experience, and Human-centered Design expertise • Experience and adequate understanding of HIV, STI/STD, TB, and Viral Hepatitis subject matter and associated prevention and control challenges, and current interventions and policy. • Prefer CDC experience relative to deploying technology with education
