The Georgia Department of Public Health is the the lead agency entrusted by the people of the the state of Georgia with the ultimate res responsibility for the health of communities and and the entire population. The agency is seeking a highly qualified c candidate for the position of HIV Care Nurse C Consultant within the Division of Health P Protection, Infectious Disease, HIV Section. The position is part of the statewide Ryan White Part B Clinical Quality Management Program and will be responsible for providing consultation, training, and technical assistance to clinicians, nurses and other practitioners providing HIV/AIDS care throughout Georgia. The position is also responsible for conducting site visits to monitor the clinical activities of health care practitioners, continuous clinical quality improvement and quality assurance. This position will assist in the development and implementation of a statewide HIV treatment adherence program, the clinical quality management program and evaluation of key HIV-related clinical performance indicators. Also, this position will assist in the development and dissemination of protocols and procedures for HIV/AIDS primary care in Georgia, participate in the Medical Advisory Committee, the Clinical Quality Management meeting and help with the coordination of this meeting. The position will have the responsibility to assist with the revision of the HIV/AIDS-related nurse protocols; help with the development and revision of HIV-related medical guidelines and other guidelines/polices as indicated. This position is an active member of the Nursing Leadership Team and also part of the Emergency Response Center.

Qualifications: Master's degree in Nursing, Public Health or related fi related field from an accredited college or university university AND Three years of PHN experience AND Curren AND Current Georgia Professional Nurse license AN license AND CPR certified. OR Bachelor's degree Nursing from an accredited college college or university AND Five years of PHN experien experience AND Current Georgia Professional Nurse li Nurse license AND CPR certified. OR Three years at the lower level (HCP211) or positi position equivalent AND Current Georgia Profes Professional Nurse license AND CPR certified

Preferred Qualifications: In addition to meeting the minimum qua qualifications, preference will be given to app applicants who possess one or more of the fol following:

Significant years of recent professional e experience in HIV/AIDS care Extensive knowledge of clinical management of HIV infection and HIV/AIDS- related illnesses National certification in HIV/AIDS care (e.g., AIDS Certified Registered Nurse (ACRN) Experience with quality management and quality improvement related illnesses National certification in HIV/AIDS care ( (e.g., AIDS Certified Registered Nurse (ACRN) Experience with quality management and quality improvement
