Position Description: The Pharmaceutical Outcomes & Policy Department invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The Department’s focus in research and graduate training is centered on the evaluation of drugs, related medical technology, and healthcare services. This focus includes classic pharmacoepidemiologic work in drug safety and comparative effectiveness, pharmacoeconomics and outcomes research, as well as pharmaceutical health services research.

Qualifications: Qualified candidates must have a Ph.D. degree or similar academic training in pharmaceutical outcomes research, pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacoeconomics or a related field. Appointment requires demonstration of or potential for an extramurally-funded research program, scholarship, and teaching proficiency that are consistent with appointment to these ranks at a research-intensive university.

Organization Description: The UF College of Pharmacy ranks among the top ten colleges of pharmacy in the nation and is located at the main campus of the University of Florida, the flagship AAU institution of the State of Florida. The College is based in one of the largest integrated academic health centers in the country, with Colleges of Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, Public Health and Health Professions, and Veterinary Medicine, as well as UF Health and the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, situated on a campus serving over 50,000 students. The growing department consists of 11 tenured and tenure track faculty in addition to affiliated faculty. It has an internationally recognized residential graduate program with about 30 PhD students and a growing online MS program with 150+ students. The department’s research infrastructure is supported by the newly founded Center for Drug Evaluation and Safety, or CoDES (, which facilitates research collaborations in real-world populations using a variety of big data sources
