Position Description: In addition, the ideal candidate should be highly organized, detail oriented, possess excellent communication skills and be capable of complying with multiple funders’ requirements for reporting and vouchering.

Responsibilities include: • Accounts payable/accounts receivable; • Payroll; • Benefits administration; • Grant and other contract management requiring expense allocation across multiple cost centers and contract; • Prepare expense vouchers for state and local government agencies on a monthly or quarterly basis.

The Finance Manager works closely with the Lower Hudson Valley Perinatal Network Executive Director and program directors, particularly with respect to contract expenditure monitoring and budget planning/development.

Qualifications: CHRF is searching for a part-time finance manager with the following qualifications: • Experience in government accounting; • Three or more years’ experience in managing all financial aspects of a small size non-profit or other business / agency; • Experience with QuickBooks, word processing and spreadsheets; • Accounting degree preferred but not required.

Organization Description: Children’s Health & Research Foundation, Inc. (“CHRF” and “Foundation”), with three offices located in Hawthorne, New York, West Haverstraw, New York and Spring Valley, New York, is a $1.7 million agency that is predominantly funded through government grants for health and human services. The Foundation focuses primarily on providing health services for mothers and children specifically directed at impacting and improving maternal health outcomes.
