Position Description: The University of North Florida, Department of Public Health is seeking an assistant professor for a 9-month tenure track position in the CEPH accredited Master of Public Health and Public Health Undergraduate Programs to start Fall 2020. The teaching load is three courses each fall and spring, with summer teaching available. Responsibilities: Teaching graduate Public Health Biostatistics I and II; teaching additional graduate and undergraduate courses in biostatistics, epidemiology, research methods, or other specific content in the candidate’s area of expertise per program needs; conducting and publishing research in areas of expertise; seeking extramural funding; and performing university, community, and professional service. Required qualifications: Doctorate in Public Health with an emphasis in Biostatistics or Epidemiology, or closely related field; doctoral degree conferred no later than August 3, 2020; proven record of, or potential for, excellence in teaching; and proven record of, or potential for, extramural funding and scholarly research leading to peer- reviewed publications; commitment to university, community, and professional service. Preferred qualifications: Graduate degree(s) from CEPH accredited school or program of public health.
