Purpose: The Coordinator - ALE Lead Response & Recovery is primarily responsible for sustaining and improving the Division of Environmental Health’s Action Level Excee Exceedance (ALE) Response & Recovery Plan. The p The person in this position will archive and docum document response activities, track outco outcomes, and identify implementation obsta obstacles. The Coordinator will work closely with with the division director, section manag managers, epidemiologists, data managers, healt health educators, toxicologists, accou accountants, local health departments, and other other partners.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Duty 1: Document and continuously improve t the Action Level Exceedance (ALE) Response & R Recovery Plan. (60%) • Lead the development and i implementation of quality improvement i infrastructure into existing procedures • Collaborate with internal MDHHS p partners to ensure that every operations t team is fulfilling its requirements • Collaborate with health educators to d develop and implement informational m materials including website content, q question and answer documents, and public n notifications • Partner with local health dep departments to ensure effective State and loc local collaboration and communication
Duty 2: Provide reports and presentations on p project implementation and results. (20%) • Participate in and facilitate m meetings, training events, and telephone c conversations as needed • Coordinate with DEH graphic designer a and MDHHS media and communications teams as n needed • Completes time-sensitive reports and rev review of documents as assigned
Duty 3: The person in this position shall a attend required trainings and assist in c conducting trainings hosted by the Section. ( (20%) • Participates in web-based meetings a and trainings as scheduled. • Completes any training required by M MDHHS. • Develops and implements trainings as n needed. • All other duties as assigned.
Education: A bachelor’s degree in public health, public or business administration, communications, program evaluation, environmental health, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: At least two or more years of exp experience in program development & eva evaluation, process documentation, quality ass assurance, report writing, and/or emergency res response. Experience in a state, federal gov government, or at a private agency concerned wit with health and human services is preferred.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements: Primarily standard office environment with occasional in-state travel needed to visit local health departments or community meetings. Requires a valid vehicle operator’s license.

IMPACT ON PROJECTS, SERVICES AND OPERATIONS This position serves to support the Division of Environmental Health, MDHHS. They will work in cooperation with technical subject-area experts within the division, in addition to external stakeholders, to track and improve response protocols and manage logistics.
