Position Description: Monitor, investigate, and coordinate activities for Public Health Department response to health threats in the community. Work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the timeliness of critical disaster data collection, evaluation, and dissemination for a prompt public health response. Maintain a strong professional relationship with members of the disaster response partners at the local, state, and national level. Works to improve the surveillance and guidance provided on syndromic surveillance of health threats. Conduct investigations of other diseases of public health importance.

Qualifications: TO APPLY, must have a Bachelor's degree + Three (3) full-time years of public health work experience OR TO APPLY, must have a Master's degree or higher + One (1) full-time year of public health work experience. Degree in epidemiology, nursing, public health, sociology, humanities, psychology, science, or a related field preferred for Bachelor's degree and public health degree preferred for Master's degree.
