Position Description: The fellowship lasts three years, and a successful graduate of the training program has the option of obtaining a master's degree; will have completed at least one major HIV prevention research project in a global setting; participated in other research projects; made a research presentation in at least one major scientific conference; published as a first author in leading scientific journals; and received a multiyear grant related to global HIV prevention to take into a first faculty position.

Organization Description: The Division of Infectious Diseases of the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA offers a Postdoctoral Fellowship Training Program in Global AIDS Prevention Research as a way to provide biobehavioral training for academic research careers focused on understanding and preventing HIV disease globally. The program is funded by the U.S. National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) through a T32 mechanism, and supports one new social/behavioral scientist or a graduate with a doctoral degree from a relevant professional field (such as psychology, public health, public policy, sociology, anthropology, biological sciences) per year. The fellowship is directed by Drs. Judith Currier and Pamina Gorbach.
