Position Description: The Department of Public Health at Agnes Scott College invites applications for a tenure-track position in the undergraduate public health program beginning in Fall 2020. The 3/2 teaching load includes an environmental health or health policy course, a methods course, contributions to the Public Health Design and Evaluation capstone course, elective courses in the candidate’s areas of expertise, and contributions to SUMMIT, the college’s leadership development and global learning initiative. We particularly invite candidates with strong quantitative skills and an interest in teaching analytic software, mapping technologies and/or data visualization programs.

Qualifications: Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in public health or a related discipline at the time of appointment.

The ideal candidate will have teaching experience in health policy or environmental health and will have an active quantitative research portfolio. Candidates with expertise in health disparities are particularly invited to apply.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate teaching experience (ideally at the undergraduate level).

Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to working with a socially and economically diverse student population.
