Position Description: This position will work with partner agencies to increase the number of Maryland residents who are tested and made aware of their hepatitis B virus (HBV) and hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection, and link them to care and treatment services. This position will also collaborate with health care facilities, public health agencies, local health departments, and health care providers to integrate viral hepatitis prevention services into health care and public health programs. The two sides will also engage in community outreach related to viral hepatitis prevention, including the screening and linkage to partner services; the development and maintaining of relationships with non-governmental external partners; and, the administrative support provided to a coalition of viral hepatitis stakeholders.

Qualifications: Education: Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, Education, Counseling, or a related field.

Within PHPA, the Infectious Disease Prevention and Health Services Bureau works to improve the health of Marylanders by reducing the transmission of infectious diseases and helping impacted persons live longer, healthier lives.
