Position Description: Provide support for the development and implementation of a data governance strategy and for the operations of current data management activities within the Office of Informatics and Analytics (OIA) Data Governance program.

Support the development and implementation of a long-range data governance strategy by coordinating meetings with internal partners and business units. Review, document and communicate data governance best practices. Understand data production capabilities, data use trends, and data access needs for each division. Facilitate documentation and communication of policies related to data access and release. Discover and leverage existing data governance efforts across divisions. Assist with development of data governance performance metrics. Provide day-to-day strategic and operational support for the data request system, data related work groups and the Institutional Review Board by coordinating work group meetings. Contribute content ideas for the OIA webpage and Data Governance SharePoint page. Document and communicate workflows,develop evaluation tools for Data Governance services, interface and trouble-shoot with data requesters, maintain the data inventory, track and respond to data access issues by relaying pertinent information to team members. Develop reports, presentations, publications, and data sharing agreement templates, and guidance documents.

Qualifications: Master's Degree in health informatics; OR Master's Degree in public health, health sciences, health services, health care administration, or nursing with coursework or experience in health informatics.

OR

Bachelor Degree in public health, health services, health science, health informatics, health care administration, or nursing with three (3) years' experience with deployment or implementation of applications systems (clinical preferred), or a related field with a foundation in systems design, analysis, and evaluation. Prior experience in assisting with the successful implementation of a nationally recognized electronic health record system is preferred.

OR

High school diploma or equivalent with eight (8) years' experience in a health informatics related field, or a combination of health care office management and information technology services.

OR
