Position Description: The Department of Health Outcomes and Biomedical Informatics is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified individual to fill the Research Programs Services Coordinator III position. This position will be responsible for the supervision and daily management of Dr. Staras’ research program focused on conducting pragmatic clinical trials throughout the state of Florida. The main focus will be coordinating and project planning for a 30-clinic multi-level trial aimed at increasing HPV vaccination among adolescents. This position requires knowledge of current clinical research best practices, experience in compliance with human subject IRB practices, and subject recruitment activities. The ideal candidate will have one or more years of experience as a Research Coordinator II or equivalent, possess superb interpersonal skills and have experience with clinician and community outreach and clinic recruitment for research. Strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, and high motivation to deliver quality work products are a must.1) Manage research project operations and day-to-day management of r research grants, including travel to c community sites. Monitor and coordinate r research project operations, including p project plans, timelines, and tasks. The w work includes meeting multiple deliverables f for projects. Assist in working with and m monitoring the progress of work conducted by e external vendors and subcontractors, i including working with vendors and the d department fiscal and grants team to arrange c contracts to ensure that paperwork is p properly completed and filed. Monitor p project timelines and communicate with f faculty and staff, sponsors, community p partners, and other external constituencies a as needed. Coordinating data collection a activities including conducting interviews; c coordinating survey printing, online survey c creation, and distribution; creating and m maintaining project timelines; facilitating p participating site intervention activities a and maintaining contact with sites; r recruiting research participants; and c coordinating with EHR and IT development s staff. 40% 2) Assists with preparation of reports, manuscripts, and grant proposals including performing literature searches, creating cohesive literature summaries, creating figures, formatting references, creating budget justifications, and formatting biosketches biosketches; 15% 3) Maintaining project compliance with regu regulations including creating and renewing IRB IRB protocols, serving as custodian for huma human subjects payments, creating data use agre agreements, and managing budgets; . 15% 4) Maintaining project timelines and org organization; follow directions to obtain, org organize, assemble and maintain materials rel related to research projects, including con contract documents. Assist in project budget pre preparation, revision, and monitoring. Com Communicate with the department fiscal team to to update budgets as needed. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a an appropriate area and two years of r relevant experience; or an equivalent c combination of education and experience. Preferred Qualifications:Bachelors and two years experience; or Masters Degree in social/behavioral sciences, public health or related field with coursework in budgeting & management. Experience in research management including experience with data collection including mailing surveys and retaining participants. Advanced computer skills using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, RedCap RedCap, and a reference manager (e.g., EndNote). Excellent written & oral communication with internal and external partners. Ability to work independently and ability to collaborate with faculty and staff at multiple levels.
