Position Description: The Department of Epidemiology of the GW Milken Institute School of Public Health (GW SPH) is recruiting for a full-time tenure track or tenured faculty member at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of Epidemiology. The successful candidate will develop a program of sponsored research as well as teach and mentor graduate students in epidemiology. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.

The Department of Epidemiology oversees the MPH, MS and PhD programs in epidemiology, and the MS program in public health microbiology and emerging infectious diseases.

Responsibilities: The successful candidate will devote approximately 50% effort to obtaining, implementing and overseeing funded research, and 50% to teaching, mentoring, and educational administration. Qualifications: Applicants must have a PhD or ScD in epidemiology or a related field, or an MD with an MPH, by date of appointment, with a focus in non-communicable disease epidemiology (i.e. cardiovascular, cancer, substance use, Alzheimers/dementia, diabetes, aging, or reproductive health) or methodology with expertise in causal inference, social, behavioral or spatial epidemiology; a demonstrated record of publishing in peer-reviewed journals, experience proposing and/or implementing funded research, and experience teaching courses in epidemiologic methods and/or another area of expertise.
