Position Description: Position Summary: serves as primary project data analyst, data manager and data point person for the Alliance for Innovation in Maternal Health (AIM)-Community Care Initiative (CCI) Project (AIM-CCI) overseeing the web-based data collection, management, reporting and coordination of data as well as web- and conference-based data training. The Data Analyst / Manager is a key member of the AIM CCI leadership team and reports to the Project CO-PI. ____________________________________________________________ _________

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

-Serve as primary project data analyst and manager for the AIM CCI Project

-Manage installation and implementation of AIM CCI portal and Data Centers

-Serve as a coordinator between outpatient facilities, pilot sites, partners, AIM sites and hospital network team members engaged in data collection and transmission and with AIM Data Center leadership to assure the accurate and smooth transition and bi-directional translation of data.

-Work closely with ACOG’s data management personnel to develop and maintain parallel coding guidelines for outcome and process metrics.

-With the support of AIM CCI Leadership team, helps coordinate data activities of AIM pilot sites and expansion sites

-Works with AIM CCI Leadership Team to develop community level metrics and data elements for AIM CCI

-Tracks requests and delivery of data training and TA for all pilots, including yearly needs assessment data, annual training and TA plan for individual pilot sites, sister city and state expansion grantees and aggregates data for reports, as needed

-Manages and assesses data TA needs of pilot communities and manages a plan for delivery of TA to meet those needs via webinars, online learning programs, or other TA opportunities

-With the Leadership Team, provides support and resources for the online Learning Communities in pilot sites and other expansions

-Coordinate data committee meetings and maintain at least biweekly engagement with Leadership Team to review data and assist in preparing quality assurance reports.

-Develop dashboard data reports for benchmarking program outcomes to produce quarterly and annual reports.

-Provides data and reports for federal requirements, pilot sites, workshops and webinar presentations as requested

-Responsible for coordinating the development and distribution of AIM CCI data reports and publications – online and print

-With the AIM CCI Leadership Team, troubleshoot and resolve technology and data issues for improvement

-Provides data to support the development of revised and new outpatient bundles

Qualifications: Knowledge: Strong skills in complex project management with knowledge of data systems and information management analysis and report writing; experience supporting training and technical assistance programs. Education and/or Experience:

-Masters-level degree in relevant discipline, e.g. MCH epidemiology or healthcare services

-At least 2 years’ experience within state health department or hospital coding department. Preference given to certification or strong experience in medical coding (diagnosis and procedure).

-Preference given to current engagement in obstetric quality improvement projects.

-Strong oral and written communication skills including public speaking and written reports Skills:

-Public health research and analysis skills

-Strong verbal and writing skills, including reports and internal presentations

-Detailed oriented and strong organizational skills and concrete multi-tasking skills

-Proficiency or familiarity with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), data analytic (SAS, R, SPSS, STATA, SQL) and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).

-Ability to prioritize, adjust quickly to changing priorities and execute while under pressure. (I think this will be vital in the initial stages of coordination metrics development)

-Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to health information technology issues and Data Use Agreements (DUA).

-Ability to present data in a clear, concise, and visually appealing way.
