Position Description: Purpose of Position:

GroupBox1 The Syndromic Surveillance funding portion of the CDC's Overdose Data 2 Action funding will be used to surge surveillance of opioid-related Emergency Department vi visits. Improvement efforts will focus on co completeness, timeliness, and integrity of da data being collected. Additionally, the new hi hire will support expanding the analytical, in interpretation, and visualization capacities re related to responding to the opioid crisis in in collaborative efforts with a contractual pa partner.

The employee will conduct literature reviews related to gain a comprehensive understanding of how opioid- related data is b being collected and used to better support i innovative uses in New Mexico. They will build on this background of knowledge by analyzing, interpreting, and visualizing available data and improve data sharing capacity with opioid-related st stakeholders in New Mexico.

After a year in this role, a success would be indicated by identifying insights and communicating them with stakeholders to support decision making that may impact overdose-related health statuses in New Mex Mexico.

Qualifications: Minimum Qualification:

GroupBox1 Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Epidemiology, Sciences, Social Sciences, or Statistics an Statistics and two (2) years in Public Health to inc Health to include data analysis and linking methodology. methodology.
