Position Description: POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Director is responsible for managing and executing the implementation of more complex, scientifically advanced projects across measure endorsement, measure alignment, public and private partnerships, and/or emerging quality measurement areas. POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•Supervises multiple project managers and oth other project staff.

•Manages project teams and provides content exp expertise (e.g. methodological, clinical and imp implementation) to help advance more complex and and scientifically advanced projects.

•Mentors and coaches direct reports and oth other colleagues and serves as a positive rol role model

•Empowers staff to generate ideas, pro proactively solve problems, and ensure own ownership and accountability.

•Actively guides staff and encourages participation in organization-wide efforts and and activities.

•Works across stakeholder groups at all lev levels, demonstrating expertise in fac facilitating resolution and navigating iss issues.

•Prioritizes outstanding issues through exe exercising sound judgment based on exp experience, knowledge and interpersonal ski skills.

•Oversees project budgets including col collaborating with the Managing Director, Fin Finance department to develop initial bud budgets, monitor utilization, and work with tea team leads to keep project within budget.

•Assists in leading project planning and dev development, tying project goals to NQF str strategic objectives and ensuring milestones are are met.

•Ensures good relationships with funders and add addresses issues in a timely manner, in con consultation with the Managing Director.

•Briefs senior leadership on status of pro projects, emerging trends, and opportunities for for future development.

•Proactively identifies, communicates and esc escalates risks to leadership and proposes sol solutions.

•Effectively manages project resources, sco scope, and risks to deliver outstanding qua quality.

•Sets clear, realistic priorities for team and and manages expectations accordingly.

•Leads and facilitates meetings with int internal and external stakeholders as needed.

•Contributes to business development act activities in emerging quality areas inc including proposal writing, developing bud budgets, and working collaboratively across NQF NQF to identify and develop new opp opportunities.

•Collaborates across NQF to advance quality me measurement and alignment.

Qualifications: POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification: •Advanced degree in a clinical discipline, public health or healthcare management.

Experience:

•Minimum of 10 years of experience managing people, budgets, and complex projects.

•Minimum of 5 years of experience leading, managing, coaching and mentoring individuals and/or teams and holding staff accountable for results.

•The incumbent should have experience in healthcare quality, including measurement, alignment, and improvement.

•Demonstrated success at leading multiple, complex large projects and managing competing priorities to achieve optimal results. results.

•Demonstrated effective experience working across stakeholder groups at all levels.

•Demonstrated experience working with budgets and forecasts for projects and managing utilization targets.

•Experience demonstration expertise and leadership presenting and writing on behalf of an organization.

•Strong knowledge of healthcare performance measurement, policy or public health.

•Experience working in the healthcare delivery system is a plus.

Skills/Abilities: •Excellent interpersonal skills, including e exercise of sound judgment. •Proven track record in working c collaboratively with internal staff and e external stakeholders is essential. •Demonstrated strategic planning ability. •Demonstrated strategic cultivation of e external relationships through regular p participation in panels, committees and n networks. •Demonstrated excellent communication skills, including writing, presentation and persuasion skills for external audiences evidenced through annual speaking engagements, showing area of expertise and thought leadership.
