Position Description: The dispensing nurse will be responsible for the daily dispensing of medication as directed by the Medical Director, Clinical Manager, or Administrator. The dispensing nurse will follow the essential functions and basic duties of the clinic and will participate in the weekly staffing for the care and function of the OTP patient. Backup for Tuberculosis program as needed.

•Assist in opening and closing of dispensary c clinic. Appropriately dispenses Methadone, B Buprenorphine/Naloxone, Buprenorphine, N Naltrexone and other medications such as A Antabuse to registered patients as required. •Complete Jail dosing when needed, by w walking to the jail to dispense a dose to i individuals. •Accounts for and accurately records all M Methadone, Buprenorphine/Naloxone, B Buprenorphine, and Naltrexone dispensed. R Records and accounts all Methadone, B Buprenorphine/Naloxone, Buprenorphine, N Naltrexone received and dispensed. •Order Methadone, Buprenorphine/Naloxone, N Naltrexone, Buprenorphine or and maintain an a adequate supply to meet demands including a adjustment for emergencies •Utilizes medical judgment during the s stabilization process and during daily d dispensing to ensure patients are utilizing m medications properly and appropriately. I Informs Medical Director, Clinical Manager, O OTP ARNP, Program Administrator, Counselors a and Program Manager as necessary on patient c care. •Monitors all patients (with special a attention to stabilizing, detoxifying and p pregnant patients) during dispensing to e ensure they are using medication properly a and assists with any observable health p problems. Observes patient random urine s sample specimen collection when needed on an e emergency basis. •Input medication order changes in computer ( (i.e. dose change, care plans, dose holds, h holidays, etc.). •Perform venipuncture for blood work for individuals and package specimens for lab pick-up or mailing to lab, per biohazard s standards. •Performs EKG’s on individuals on the p program along with vitals. •Monitors prescription medication with pill c counts. Communicates closely with p prescribing practitioners. Notifies team w when medications are not being used as p prescribed. •Participate in weekly case staffing with T Treatment Team members. •Ensure adequate supplies are procured as r required and advises the Clinical M Manager/Division Director as to any a additional needed equipment. •Provides medication information services to a area hospitals and jail in case patients are h hospitalized or incarcerated. •Verify last dose and amount of last dose for courtesy dosers when needed. •Participate in Quality Improvement and L Logic Models for program evaluation. •Maintain HIPPA and 42 C.F.R. Part 2 C Confidentiality

Qualifications: Required Minimum Qualifications/Licensures: •AA/AAS, Diploma or B.S.N. •Graduation from accredited profession s school of nursing •Current Washington State Registered Nurse C Credential
