Organization Description: The Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health Division of the California Department of Public Health promotes the health and well-being being of mothers and their families through cross-cutting programs and innovative solutions. Among the MCAH offerings are programs designed to support pregnant and parenting women, including Black Infant Health Program, Adolescent Family Life Program and California Home Visiting Program. Additional programs under the MCAH umbrella include SIDS and Breastfeeding Programs. MCAH maintains partnerships, contracts, and agreements with State, federal, and local agencies in both public and private sectors to support families throughout the State.
