General Purpose: Under the direction of the PI, the Project Manager (PM) will oversees multiple study project teams and implementation programs (in coordination with another remote program director). Duties will include the managing and organizing a national dissemination and implementation program (GEDC), a national research infrastructure program (GEAR), and managing and leading the implementation of two multi-site observational studies.

The PM will support the PI who co-leads the Geriatric Emergency Department Collaborative (GEDC) in developing, organizing, coordinating, implementing, and executing projects and activities that focus on the GEDC mission of transforming, catalyzing, and evaluating best practices in interdisciplinary geriatric emergency care. Since the GEDC co-lead and program director are located in North Carolina, the PI and PM based at Yale will coordinate work collaboratively, virtually, and synergistically to support both GEDC co- leads. A successful PM will work in a dynamic, cross-functional, multi- organizational environment that supports transformation of geriatric emergency care and organizes external partnerships. The PM will attend regular GEDC coordinating center and team meetings at GEDC sites and other locations as needed and coordinate local GEDC activities of the PI and team management.

The PM will support the PI for the Geriatric Emergency care Applied Research (GEAR) network. This is a NIA funded initiative to build a national research infrastructure. Activities include both multicenter prospective study management [institutional review board submissions and continuing approvals, subaward administration and management, multicenter study team coordination and meetings, research team trainings, data collection coordination (development of data collection instruments), data extraction, coordination with data managers and analysts, preparation of study reports and manuscripts], supervision of data coordination and multiple Data Use Agreements with a third party research data warehouse, and administrative organization of the GEAR research infrastructure. The latter will include release and communication of future pilot funding opportunities, establishing an pilot study application form, release and broad dissemination of the funding announcement, creation of a platform to receive proposals, coordination of proposal review, awarding of selected applicants, and coordination of support (both funding and GEAR Core infrastructure supports) to awardees. PM duties will include overall managing, coordination, and providing administrative support to both the PI and the GEAR Core leads (research lead, data and informatics leads, measurement leads, and dissemination and implementation leads).

The PM will support the PI for the Pathway to Detection & Differentiation of Delirium & Dementia in the Emergency Department (PD4ED). This is a NIA funded pilot study from the IMPACT Collaboratory (through Brown University). Activities will include a multicenter pilot study supervision that will include institutional review board submissions and continuing approvals, subaward administration and management, multicenter study team coordination and meetings, research team trainings, data collection coordination (development of data collection instruments – centralized Redcap survey), data extraction, coordination with data managers and analysts, preparation of study reports, manuscripts, and future grant proposals.

Qualifications: Required Education and Experience: Master’s Degree in a related discipline and four years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications: • Excellent communication skills. Ability to communicate ideas and information clearly and appropriately for the situation and audience. Professionalism, leadership, organizational and team player characteristics. Ability to adapt quickly to new areas of focus. Ability to interact and collaborate with all levels of management and cross- functional teams. • Experience with the MS Office suite. Experience with project management software such as Trello, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Skype, or Zoom. REDCap web application database experience. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills. • Ability to do schedule, organize, and prepare communication lines (call, video conference, recordings, etc.), as well as establish agendas, for team and project meetings (Zoom, Webex, Gotomeeting, Skype, Microsoft Teams, Google meetings, etc.). Ability to prepare, write/draft, submit, manage contracts, subcontracts/ subawards, consult agreements, data use agreements. • Experience managing complex projects, multi-tasking and independent problem solving to meet project deadlines. Institutional Review Board (IRB) proposal submission and study protocol experience. • Demonstrated experience in writing research proposal submissions (both federal R01-level grants and foundation grants), abstract submissions, manuscripts, or grant proposals.
