Position Description: We are seeking a Research Evaluation Specialist that has experience supporting research projects using a community-based participatory research (CBPR) model and implementing multimodal mixed methods to support qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis. Considered candidates will have the opportunity to support our nation’s public health initiatives focused on the COVID-19 pandemic and identifying risk and preventive factors for the most vulnerable populations.

• Develop evaluation and data tracking instruments • Organize and conduct focus groups and interviews, and summarizing findings • Facilitate data collection through multiple modalities (SPSS, Qualtrics, Excel, Atlats. tl., SurveyMonkey, etc.) • Support data management activities including tracking, entering, merging, cleaning and coding data and running descriptive analyses • Provide ongoing monitoring of program implementation and project management of various evaluation components • Review literature, analyze studies, assess practice-based research, and collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to make recommendations for process, procedures, interventions, programs, and/or policies related to addressing public health programs • Assist in implementing evaluations by advising on logic models, evaluation designs, and study designs • Perform needs assessments, environmental scans (i.e., SWOT, PEST, PESTL, Stakeholder), or impact assessments • Lead the OMB/IRB process • Write and edit routine and ad-hoc research and evaluation reports • Presents findings, results, and recommendations to client and leadership using appropriate language and visual representations of data • Remain abreast of research and evaluation trends to ensure valid approaches and strategies are current

Qualifications: • Knowledge of research and evaluation methods and practices • Ability to perform complex analytical studies and interrupt results • Ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally • Well versed in Microsoft Office products • Experience balancing multiple projects with strong attention to detail, organization, and efficient time management skills

•MPH in public health, behavioral health sciences, social science, or related field • Experience with data analysis and visualization software including SPSS, SAS, STATA, R, ArcGIS, NVivo, Atlas.ti, MS Access, MS Excel, Survey Monkey, Qualtrics, MS Publisher, MS Word, Tableau, etc. • Proficient using quantitative and qualitative data collection and analyses methodologies
