Position Description: Assistant/Associate Professor in Cancer Prevention Tenure Track-UTMB/MD Anderson

The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston is currently recruiting a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor (https://www.utmb.edu/cirwh/cirwh-faculty- openings). The successful candidate will be eligible for a cross-appointment at the MD Anderson Cancer Center and will join an interdisciplinary team that engages in clinical research and the teaching of medical/graduate students. Our team has been extremely successful in securing research support for cancer prevention, having received more than $15 million in funding over the past decade.

Applicants with a doctoral degree (PhD, DrPH, or comparable degree) in epidemiology, statistics, public health, demography, sociology, or related fields are invited to apply. Preferred qualifications include strong quantitative skills and a record of extramural funding. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The successful applicant will spend at least 75% of their time conducting research and no formal classroom teaching is required during the first two years. Remote work will be considered.
