Position Description: |
Overview Tanaq Support Services (TSS) delivers professional, scientific, and technical services and information technology (IT) solutions to federal agencies in health, agriculture, technology, and other government services. TSS is a subsidiary of the St. George Tanaq Corporation (SGT), an Alaskan Native Corporation (ANC) committed to serving Federal customers while also giving back to the Tanaq native community and shareholders. SGT is privately owned by Alaska Natives, and stock is not publicly traded. About the Role We are seeking a CDC IT Program Manager to support our work with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), leading programs focused on Project Management and Information Technology. The ideal candidate will help develop and manage a team of information technology consultants to achieve program delivery and financial success. Responsibilities - Direct and drive all stages of the Service Delivery lifecycle including Service Strategy, Design, Development.
- Establish a team of high- performing public health information technology consultants and subject matter experts consistent with customer requirements.
- Build and mature effective customer relationships for purposes of improving the quality and continuity of our services.
- Evaluate all task order deliverables to ensure delivery excellence and achieve consistently high customer satisfaction.
- Manage individual contributors and task order leads, maintaining low turnover in accordance with assigned targets.
- Provide career guidance to project managers, technical leads, direct reports to include counseling team members on career growth.
- Contribute to proposal content (writing) and review based on areas of expertise and unique customer-oriented knowledge.
- Assist the Government in synchronizing requirements throughout the lifecycle of the project within cost, schedule and performance, identifying any issues in project meetings.
- Attend customer meetings and may serve as primary client liaison.
- Interact with vendors, other agencies, and other client staff on behalf of the client.
- Coordinate development of deliverables and products.

Qualifications: |
Required Experience and Skills - 4 – 6 years of experience successfully leading large IT projects and/or programs with CDC or HHS customers.
- Results-driven with ability to self-manage, take direction, and proactively run with tasking.
- Strong program management foundation, including software development life cycle management for systems integration and/or implementation and will have participated in large-scale system integration or release management efforts, using agile methodology for development and deployment processes.
- Demonstrated CDC domain knowledge and understanding of the technical platforms, information security, and working environment, including PII, PHI, etc., and the ATO process.
- Demonstrated financial/budget management experience.
- Track record of problem-solving collaboration with an extensive network of CDC customers at the executive and senior management level.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast- paced work environment, with time management and an attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience providing direction for operations and ensuring compliance with all management policies, plans and procedures.
- Background in Management Consulting, helping clients solve specific challenges or roadmap strategies to obtain mission objectives.
- Excellent customer-facing skills, outstanding written and verbal communication, and the ability to build consensus and drive solutions across multiple systems in a multi-vendor environment.
- Excellent writing, speaking and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated client-facing role.
- Excellent leadership, people management, and teamwork skills.
- Experience managing and coordinating the work of Agile Teams.
Education and Training - Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology related field plus a minimum of 10 years of experience in government contracting or equivalent is required; Master’s degree in Public Health, an IT business-related field, or MBA is preferred.
- PMP Certification.
