Position Description: The CDC Foundation is seeking an Auditor III who will oversee the monitoring of subawardees. This position will conduct audits in accordance with generally accepted government auditing standards, generally accepted auditing standard, and/or standards for the professional practice of internal auditing as adopted by the work unit. Additionally, this position will document findings and prepare work papers and reports that summarize audit findings and recommendations regarding adequacy of controls, operational procedures and/or determination of financial adjustments/deficiencies, as well as improve and modify controls and procedures. Job Highlights: Position Title: Auditor III Location: This position is located in Carson City and will be working part time in the office part time telecommuting for the foreseeable future. Position End Date: 6/30/2023 Salary: $80,000 plus benefits

Responsibilities: Possesses knowledge of: Accounting principles and/or auditing principles, practices, and procedures State and federal laws and regulations relating to the auditing assigned Possesses the ability to: Plan, assign, and supervise the work of others Detect and reconcile discrepancies in financial and business records Interact and establish effective working relationships with state and other government employees as well as the public Supervise others in performing routine phases of auditing financial and business records and procedures Write reports of audit findings and make recommendations for improvement or compliance with laws and regulations Conduct advance audit survey to determine deviations from prescribed procedures

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 3 years of auditing experience. Master’s Degree preferred CMA, CPA, or CIA certification required Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent critical thinking and problem- solving skills Strong organizational and project management skills Knowledge of accounting best practices Strong computer skills Sound independent judgement, prioritization, and decision-making skills Ability to learn industry standards Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and compile detailed reports Knowledge at an advanced level in auditing
