CACI seeks a highly creative and detailed- oriented Scientific Data Anlyst and public health professional with demonstrated experience in statistics and complex data analytics to join our team at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Division of Healthcare Quality & Promotion (DHQP).

More About the Role:

Mid to Senior-level statistical support needed to conduct analyses necessary to populate a network analysis tool or other activities, as requested. This includes collaborating with CDC investigators to create code or conduct analyses. Utilizing research methodology and data collection tools to ensure that appropriate healthcare epidemiology, HAI, and adverse event data are gathered Designing and maintaining databases for management, using but not limited to Access and RedCAP Conducting data analyses including but not limited to cohort studies and, case-control studies that may require knowledge of Bayesian inference, or Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) methods Extracting data from appropriate sources including surveillance systems and special studies for COVID-19 and healthcare- associated infections Preparing preliminary interpretations of analyses for sharing with scientific and public audiences, project teams, and/or management Preparing technical and non-technical summaries of work, scientific reports, and manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed literature Using data and other information related to performance and evaluation for the dissemination of scientific information related to COVID-19, multidrug resistant organisms, and healthcare associated infections and other program data in the form of presentations, reports, slides, and other materials (e.g. newsletters, federal documents) Advising and consulting with regard to statistical methods and quantitative policy analysis to the Division’s senior scientists and a variety of individuals, groups, and organizations

Qualifications: You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent is required in public health, math, biostatistics or statistics and 5 years of related experience. Possession of excellent data gathering, analytical, and problem-solving skills Highly organized with excellent interpersonal skills Attention to details and problem-solving skills Ability to plan and organize work to meet deadlines with minimal supervision Must be able to pass a NACI
