Position Description: Responsibilities The Senior Program Coordinator will oversee programmatic and contract activities for the Detection and Mitigation of COVID-19 in New York State Confinement Facilities. The program prioritizes the provision of resources and supports NYS detention facilities in establishing and implementing COVID-19 diagnostic and screening testing programs for NYS facility residents/detainees/incarcerated individuals, staff, and visitors. The incumbent will be responsible for the implementation of all grant deliverables and will oversee and monitor compliance with requirements.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the development of program policies, standards and guidance documents, contract management, ensuring coordination with the NYS Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, NYS Office of Children and Family Services and NYS Sheriff’s Association and other partners/stakeholders; overseeing coordination with program data staff; managing the monitoring of contract spending; reviewing and analyzing program data to monitor progress toward meeting program goals and objectives; communicating successes and challenges; overseeing and preparing quantitative data and program reports; providing technical assistance to contractors/partners/stakeholders; hosting and/or participating in virtual and on site (when possible) meetings/calls and coordinating and implementing quality improvement activities.

Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and four years of program coordination experience in a public health, health, or human services-related program or community-based organization; OR an Associate’s degree in a related field and six years of such experience; OR eight years of such experience. At least two years of experience must have included supervision of staff and/or program management. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience. Two years of qualifying experience must include program management and/or the supervision of staff.

This position requires that the incumbent will report to the official work location and live within commuting distance to the official work location. Telecommuting may not be available. If telecommuting is available, the incumbent will be required to have a telephone/mobile device, and internet access.

Preferred Qualifications At least five years of experience in a health, human service, or community- based organization; at least two years of experience in the implementation of programming for criminal justice involved populations; at least two years of experience managing contracts/grants with not for profits; at least one year of experience developing and delivering presentations; at least one year of experience writing quantitative and programmatic reports; at least two years of experience in the oversight/supervision of staff. Experience with a grants management system; experience with MS Office 365, (including MS Teams and SharePoint) and experience with virtual meeting platforms (WebEx and Zoom).
