Provide day-to-day leadership on Center for Health Communication (CHC) grant-funded programs, including tobacco cessation, cancer prevention, and other public health topics.
Duties include: With minimal supervisory oversight, provide day-to-day leadership, management, and implementation for externally-funded health communication projects related to tobacco prevention and control.
Maintain continuity in program management from current program manager on these well- established CHC programs to ensure their continued success and fulfillment of project goals and contract requirements.
Apply public health program planning principles to plan, implement, and evaluate major health communication initiatives; steward evidence-based health communication principles.
Supervise and/or closely collaborate with program staff working on same health communication projects/programs, including graphic designers, writers, and web developers.
Work alongside Deputy Director to assist with broad Center programmatic oversight.
Support CHC's mission to lead the creation of evidence-based health communication scholarship, education, and practice. Related duties as assigned.
