Position Description: This full time contractual position will be the primary contact at the regional office to address and resolve LTSS related concerns. Specifically, this position will provide support to the regional office teams and community stakeholders to ensure that technical concerns that are impacting the approval of Person-Centered Plans are resolved in a timely manner. Also, this position will assist regional office teams and stakeholders with applicable post PCP approval troubleshooting to resolve billing exceptions that are hindering DDA licensed and certified providers from billing in the LTSSMaryland DDA Module. This position will also be the point person at the regional office to participate in LTSSMaryland related initiatives and share applicable updates with the regional teams, track, and resolve concerns as they are reported.

Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in nursing, social work, psychology, education, counseling or a related field.

Experience: Five years of professional experience in health services, two years must have been in the Developmental Disabilities option.

Notes:

1. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a health or human service field for one year of the required general experience.

2. Experience in the Developmental Disabilities option must be as follows: professional work related to the support services and programs for developmentally disabled clients.

3. Candidates may substitution the possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in another field plus one additional year of professional experience in health services for the required education.

4. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Civil Affairs Specialist specialty codes in the health related field of work on a year-for- year basis for the required experience and education.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The desired candidate should have knowledge/experience of the DDA service delivery system, knowledge/experience of LTSS, experience with the Person-Centered Planning process, and knowledge/experience of the billing exceptions process.
