Position Description: This full time contractual position will be responsible for reviewing and making determinations on prospective provider applications to become qualified service providers under the DDA HCBS waivers. This position will also review renewal applications for licensed and certified providers. This position will provide extensive technical assistance to Providers, Coordination of Community Services agencies, and other stakeholders pertaining to provider-related health and safety concerns, and provide extensive collaboration and coordination with the Office of Health Care Quality to ensure compliance with DDA regulations.

Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in nursing, social work, psychology, education, counseling or a related field.

Experience: Two years of professional experience in health services, one year must have been in the Developmental Disabilities option.

Notes:

1. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a health or human service field for one year of the required general experience.

2. Experience in the Developmental Disabilities option must be as follows: professional work related to the support services and programs for developmentally disabled clients.

3. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in another field plus one additional year of professional experience in health services for the required education.

4. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Civil Affairs Specialist specialty codes in the health related field of work on a year-for- year basis for the required experience and education.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The desired candidate should have experience working in the DDA field or working with those with disabilities, experience implementing policies and procedures, ability to multitask and adapt to changing schedules, policies, etc., and good written and oral communication skills.
