Position Description: The Obstetric Initiative (OBI) is a Collaborative Quality Initiative (CQI) statewide quality improvement project working with 75 Michigan maternity hospitals. OBI is working to address variation in obstetric care with a first initiative of supporting vaginal birth and safely lowering the cesarean delivery rate among low-risk patients. We are currently seeking an organized, creative self-starter to join our team in the role of Project Coordinator. The OBI Coordinating Center is part of the University of Michigan, funded by the BCBSM Value Partnerships Initiative. This is a fully remote position with the expectation of in-person attendance at about six meetings per year at the Michigan Medicine Arbor Lakes offices in Ann Arbor and around the state. As the OBI Project Coordinator, you will be part of the Program Administration team playing the critical role of proactively coordinating and supporting implementation of projects. Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Project Coordinator will contribute significantly to the operations of the OBI Coordinating Center. General Program Support

Facilitate the conversation with the Coordinating Center (CC) Teams to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives to ensure clear roles and responsibilities at the start of a project. Lead special projects and/or development of new initiatives as assigned by the Program Manager; identify appropriate team members and resources to complete project/initiative. Manage Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications for the Program. Conduct research on the latest evidence-based tools and resources for the OBI website, doing literature reviews and hospital surveys and synthesizing the findings. Management of the OBI website including creating new webpages, updating with new materials, managing website requests Sole responsibility of managing the OBI hospital participation points in their yearly performance scorecards Program Support for the Nursing Team Facilitate the creation of educational resources and videos based on collaborative membership needs Support the development of new provider onboarding & orientation Management of the Talent LMS platforms that support the hospital and clinical data abstraction platforms Work with nurses to identify topics and author the OBI Success Stories Blog Support the development and implementation of hospital awards Data Support In collaboration with the Program Manager, manage the day-to-day operations of the Patient Reported Experience Measures (PREMs) program Support the Analytics Team by managing the administrative tasks associated with Internally created push reports The PREMS (Patient Report Experience Measures) reports database in REDCap Formatting and sharing the site-specific reports Develop job aids/step-by-step guides for the Workstation Support the administrative management of the OBI Data & Publications Committee, which provides oversight data requests for quality improvement, evaluation, and research projects. Track, monitor, and manage all internal and external data requests and data use agreements.

Qualifications: Required Qualifications* Bachelor’s degree in a health care-related field or quality A minimum of three years of administrative assistant experience is required. Our ideal candidate will have experience working in a team-oriented, fast-paced work environment with a proven track record of meeting deadlines, anticipating the needs of the team, and delivering a high-quality product. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat. Exceptional writing and editing skills. Proven ability to be highly organized and self-motivated; able to manage multiple projects without loss of quality. Demonstrated ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and produce detailed and accurate work. Efficient and enjoys detailed work such as tracking communications, policies, and procedures. Ability to perform complex tasks, to work independently to organize workload, to be accountable for high quality work, and to meet all established deadlines. A high degree of initiative, resourcefulness, and the ability to anticipate needs. Must be able to take direction from several people and have proven ability to prioritize tasks with conflicting deadlines, handle frequent interruptions, and meet deadlines Desired Qualifications* Background, experience, or education in women’s health, maternity care, or reproductive health. Previous experience working with the BCBSM Collaborative Quality Initiatives Familiarity with REDCap, Qualtrics, Airtable, and Talent LMS Prior research experience PEERRS or CITI Program certified Knowledge of Michigan Medicine policies and procedures
