Position Description: The Senior Manager Health Services Research will be a passionate researcher to help build a clinical health equity research program within Sinai Chicago’s Graduate Medical Education Program. This is a unique position which will facilitate research with the residents and physician staff that focuses on clinical studies aimed to help Sinai improve the quality of care delivered to our community.

Qualifications: MINIMUM Education: Masters’ degree in health services, public health, epidemiology, or closely related field and at least 5 years of relevant work or research experience OR a doctoral degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE: Experience leading clinical, epidemiological, or health services research; Experience working with health services data, including EHR/clinical data, claims data, and patient and provider data, for quality improvement, reporting, or analytic purposes

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Advanced analytical skills, including experience with statistical software programs (such as SAS, Stata, or R); Strong record of peer-reviewed publications in a health or healthcare field; Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to a variety of audiences; Comfortable working with others in a diverse, collaborative team environment Exceptional attention to detail, as well as the ability to think critically and prioritize among numerous activities.

Organization Description: Sinai Chicago is the largest private safety- net health system in Illinois and has been serving the surroundings communities on the west side of Chicago for over 100 years. The researcher will work closely with the Sinai Urban Health Institute (SUHI), which is a unique research center dedicated to improving the health of Chicago’s urban communities. It is one of the largest and oldest non-academic equity research centers in the US.
