Position Description: . This grant-funded position will use data to target, support, and improve programs related to alcohol misuse, e-cigarettes and tobacco, opioid and prescription drug misuse, and other drug misuse among youth and adults in Eau Claire County. The Evaluator/Epidemiologist will be responsible for leading the data and evaluation activities of a substance misuse grant and coalition activities. As a Project Evaluator/Epidemiologist, your primary duties will be to: • Collect, track, analyze, and maintain data needed for health education and promotion, disease prevention, evaluation, and quality improvement efforts. ? Develop communication and messaging strategies utilizing data and share with community members, community groups, organizational partners, and other audiences through briefs, reports, presentations, infographics, dashboards, and other methods. • Research and utilize evidence-based practices to guide programs and policies. • Assure appropriate and accurate data collection for grants and project reports. • Support community stakeholder and partner meetings. • Identify and share resources to help community partners act on data findings. • Build programs and services that will benefit our community.

Qualifications: Your minimum qualifications must include: • Bachelor’s degree in public health, health education, or other related field. • Program evaluation experience. • Experience with data analysis. • Strong communication skills, including technical writing skills. • Ability to contribute to work environment where continuous quality improvements in service and professional practice are pursued. • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred qualifications: • Knowledge of and/or experience with alcohol, tobacco, and other drug prevention programs • Experience with database, dashboard, and/or data analysis software. • Experience working with community coalitions on public health projects
