| Position Description: |
The Research Community Health Educator II will work directly with the Principal Investigators to implement a research protocol to support the delivery of a multilevel intervention to increase Black and Hispanic patient recruitment and enrollment to therapeutic clinical trials at Moffitt Cancer Center. Under guidance from the study principal investigators, the Research Community Health Educator II will lead a team of research community health educators to conduct health education, outreach, and navigation activities to support the project. The essential functions include execution of research activities, identifying and leading a team of health educators to develop and execute activities focused on education about cancer clinical trials, development of strategies to enhance clinical trial referral and enrollment, address implicit bias, promote community engagement, and conduct outreach.

| Qualifications: |
-Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in scientific, health related, or business administration program preferred. -Minimum four (4) years of experience required to include two (2) years of health education experience and two (2) years of research experience. Research experience can include epidemiologic, observational, diagnostic, supportive care, clinical intervention. -Required community or patient teaching/education experience in chronic disease, preferably cancer. Required experience in public speaking, public relations, marketing, program planning, program development, evaluation and working with diverse groups. -Preferred previous patient or participant contact in a community or health care setting, preferably in a consenting role. -Preferred Bilingual (Spanish), oral and written communication. -Preferred training and knowledge of the National Cancer Institute (NCI) programs and experience in communications, comprehensive cancer control, training, program planning, and evaluation.
