The Pima County Health Department, Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program, is seeking a motivated and team-orientated Medium Risk Nutritionist to join our team. This position provides client centered nutrition & breastfeeding services to program participants. Additional duties include conducting WIC certifications, medium risk counseling and obtaining anthropometric and hemoglobin levels for WIC participants. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal communication and listening skills. Preferred Qualifications: (Be specific in describing your experience in your application. Ensure the descriptions provided illustrate your competencies, specifically addressing the required and preferred qualifications.):

Undergraduate degree from an accredited institution in Nutrition (Community Nutrition, Public Health Nutrition, Nutrition Education, Human Nutrition or Nutrition Science). Minimum one (1) year experience in nutrition education counseling in a maternal/child or clinical setting, including the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program preferred. Bilingual English/ Spanish preferred.

Candidates meeting the minimum/desired qualifications may be further evaluated/scored against any advertised Preferred Qualifications. The hiring authority will interview and select the successful candidate from a referral list provided by Human Resources.
