Position Description: Responsibilities The Project Manager I will perform technical project management for COVID-19 response projects designed to enhance the Health Commerce System applications supporting our Clinical Laboratory Information Management System (CLIMS). The Project Manager I will also modernize CLIMS applications capacity to allow for easier upload of test requests, reporting of laboratory results and data exchange. Responsibilities include, and are not limited to, defining the project scope, identifying dependencies, and developing the schedule based on project objectives, timelines and budgets. Specific duties include defining, overseeing, and reporting on key milestones and risks; working with project leads to track project activities; documentation of system design; managing enhancement requests and defect remediation; coordination of development and testing; deployment of applications; and developing operational support plans. Further, the Project Manager I will ensure that information technology projects are delivered within budget and on schedule. The Project Manager I will be responsible for ongoing oversight of application availability and oversee the response to end user issues. The Project Manager I will be responsible for regularly communicating and managing risks with stakeholders and team, maintaining detailed project plans, providing of periodic project reports as part of deliverables, and escalating outstanding issues to management. The Project Manager I will supervise staff and consultants and perform other duties and functions as assigned.

Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field and five years of experience in program administration/management, project management, or a related field; OR an Associate's degree in a related field and seven years of such experience; OR nine years of such experience. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience. At least three years of experience must have included supervision of staff. This position requires that the incumbent will report to the official work location and live within commuting distance to the official work location. Telecommuting may not be available. If telecommuting is available, the incumbent will be required to have a telephone/mobile device, and internet access.

Preferred Qualifications At least five years of experience managing a portfolio of information technology projects in a cross-functional environment. Previous experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and laboratory sample workflows. At least five years of experience developing project management deliverables such as project scope documents, project plans, budgets, risk identification, mitigation plans and project schedules. At least three years of experience in information technology testing. At least two years of experience in a governmental setting.
