| Position Description: |
Baltimore City Health Department is seeking to fill a HIV/STD Public Health Representative (also referred to as Disease Intervention Specialist or DIS) position within the Bureau of Clinical Services and HIV/STD Prevention. We are currently seeking a motivated, organized, detail-oriented public health professional to provide quality disease prevention, control, intervention and management services. The Public Health Representative is responsible for conducting epidemiological interviews and subsequent investigation of reported STDs (including HIV co-infections). This position provides education and technical assistance to clients, communities, and health care providers on public health, disease transmission, disease prevention, and risk reduction.

| Qualifications: |
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and one year of experience performing investigative work. Experience working in STD/HIV Prevention, communicable disease surveillance, or other public health surveillance, investigative or prevention work.
