Position Description: |
• Participates in the planning and conduct of social/behavioral research studies in the Department of Geriatrics including participant recruitment, determining study eligibility and retention; • Obtains informed consent; • Administers tests &/or questionnaires following protocols remotely – online and over the phone, as required; • Collects, compiles, tabulates & processes study participant responses; • Collects, records, reviews & summarizes research data; • May process payments for research participants per study protocol; • Opportunity to co-author scientific papers and present findings at national conferences; and • Other duties as assigned
This position offers a hybrid work opportunity out of our downtown Chicago office.

Qualifications: |
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree in a major such as social or health science or related; OR appropriate combination of education and experience and 2 years' research study or other relevant experience required; OR Successful completion of a full course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a master's or higher degree in a major such as social or health science or related; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.
Prior working experience &/or a desire to work with an older adult / senior population and their caregivers. Prior working experience with REDCap survey software. Prior working experience conducting remote research study participant recruitment &/or data collection. Ability to utilize various software programs, databases, &/or protocols necessary for data collection. Adaptability - Works effectively in a changing environment; adjusts behavior to meet the needs of different people and situations.
