Position Description: Please note this position is fully remote.

Reporting directly to the Executive Director of the Winn Award Program, the Assistant Director of Curriculum and Assessment will have primary responsibility to manage the development, maintenance, and evaluation of the Winn CDA Community-Oriented Clinical Trialists (COCT) curriculum. Under direction of the Executive Director, this position will oversee the design, direction and management of internal assessment activities for the entire Winn Award Program. The Assistant Director will manage and oversee the communication and collaboration with external evaluator(s) hired to support the independent evaluation of the overall program impact.

The general responsibilities of this role are as follows:

- Communicate with Curriculum Development Committee, identifying best practices for course development, honoring their subject matter expertise, and ensuring on-time completion of the course according to the production schedule - Collaborate with Curriculum Development Committee to support desired learning outcomes and high levels of student engagement, moving from a high-level course plan to a detailed course design format - Develop logic models and evaluation plans with data collection protocols, align the evaluation plan with activities identified for the project, develop a data map aligned to the logic models that indicates data availability, and analyze existing data - Implement and practice effective research design, methodology, qualitative and quantitative analysis, and statistical analysis to obtain valid and reliable data for measuring CDA scholar and CIPP student learning, engagement, development, satisfaction, and program and service effectiveness - Draft needs assessment and implementation reports - Design and manage the annual program review process in coordination with Executive Director, program director, and manager - Effectively lead planning discussions and facilitate group processes around program assessment and scholar/student tracking - Collaborate with team members to distribute relevant data to stakeholders including quarterly and end-of-year assessments - Utilize analytic software, technology, and data visualization tools to distill data into user- friendly formats to support data-driven decisions

The candidate will demonstrate experience that shows their commitment to fostering such an environment. - Demonstrated commitment to racial and health equity - Master’s Degree in Higher Education, Social Sciences, Public Health, Healthcare Informatics, Statistics, Program Evaluation, or related area - Requires a minimum of four years demonstrated post-Master’s experience in educational assessment, designing assessment plans, completing assessments, synthesizing results, process improvement, applied statistics, social sciences, reporting tools, program evaluation, quantitative, and qualitative research - Minimum of one to two years of demonstrated experience in course design principles and practices - Proficient in qualitative and quantitative research methods including the statistical analysis of assessment data - Proficient in data management and statistical analysis software applications, e.g., Microsoft Excel, SAS, STATA, and R Programming - Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions - Ability to plan, organize, conduct and analyze reports and assessment results - Demonstrated organizational skills in handling and directing multiple and complex assignments and projects - Skill in working effectively in a team environment with a customer service focus - Proficient in the use of e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software and use of the Internet to access data, maintain records, generate reports, and communicate with others - Excellent analytical, oral, written and interpersonal communication skills - Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, including presentations to internal and external stakeholders and other target audiences
