Responsibilities for this position include contributing to ongoing research on opioid, psychostimulant and other drug use, including collection and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data, present research findings to community partner organizations and at scientific meetings, publish results in scientific journals, assist with new collaborative grant applications, work collaboratively with other research team members, and assist in mentoring undergraduate and graduate students. Although the postdoctoral research fellow will dedicate most of their effort to ongoing research projects and new collaborative grant applications, they will be encouraged to pursue independent research interests within the relevant fields of drug use and provision of harm reduction and treatment services.

The ideal candidate will have dedicated interest and experience in research on the impacts of socio-cultural and structural factors on opioid, psychostimulant and/or other drug use, and/or utilization of substance use treatment and harm reduction services, as well as demonstrated methodological expertise in at least one of the following areas: qualitative data collection and analysis, advanced statistical methods, mixed-methods research, community-based research, and/or analysis of web-based data. This position is expected to demonstrate progress towards a K99/R00 application and publish at least 3 manuscripts (1 as lead author) within the first 12 months of position.
