Position Description: For DPH Clinical Services, the physician will work in the tuberculosis and/or sexual health clinics. They will join a team of highly skilled and energetic clinicians, nurses, and field investigators whose work informs and guides LAC’s progressive response to communicable diseases. They will report to the Medical Director of Clinic Services at DPH. For DHS, the physician will work in the Ambulatory Care Network’s (ACN) adult primary care clinics. They will report to the Primary Care Director at their clinic.

This is a full time, in-person position. It requires split clinical time in two or more separate locations in Los Angeles County depending on service needs. Hours are M-F 8:00am-4:30pm, with potential for evening and/or weekend hours.

Qualifications: Requirements: * California Physician and Surgeon's License. * California Driver License or ability to utilize other transportation when needed. * Completion of a residency and eligibility approved by an American Specialty Board in one or more of the following: Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, and/or Preventive Medicine.

The ideal candidate would have the following experience and attributes: * A passion for caring for the underserved. * Excellent interpersonal skills, teamwork, and oral and written communication. * Experience with Tuberculosis and/or sexually transmitted infections (STI) care is a plus but not required. Physicians will undergo supportive and comprehensive training in each to obtain privileges. * Experience working in a safety net health system or health department is a plus.
