As a Positive Health & Prevention Consultant (Health Services Consultant 3), you will be a vital contributor to our Disease Control and Health Statistics Division. Your focus will be on developing and implementing infectious disease prevention activities, specifically catering to people living with HIV. Collaborating with various teams and community partners, you'll play a key role in promoting the overall health and well-being of PLWH. Your efforts will extend to addressing health disparities and supporting historically excluded or exploited communities, making a meaningful impact in the field of public health. Work Setting

The work location for this position offers flexibility, allowing the incumbent to work from home anywhere in Washington State or the border cities. While they may occasionally meet with partners in the field, they also have the option to work from our headquarters in Tumwater, WA.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

Experience defined below may have been gained through paid or unpaid activities. Please ensure any relevant experience defined below is outlined in your cover letter, resume, and/or applicant profile.

Option 1: Four (4) years of infectious disease prevention experience in public health at the local, state, or federal level. Including:

Experience providing HIV testing or other screening and diagnostic technologies or bio- medical interventions. Experience planning and evaluating public health activities with diverse partners, community members, and customers. Experience working with external partners; managing grants, contracts, and budgets; and communicating well with internal and external partners through written and oral formats. OR

Option 2: A Bachelor’s degree in public health, health care administration, public or business administration, or allied field; AND one (1) year of infectious disease prevention experience in public health at the local, state, or federal level.
