Position Description: Job Title: Counselor, LPC, LCSW, ALPC Reports To: Clinical Supervisor/Medical Director Classification: Full Time/or Part Time POSITION SUMMARY: Provides individual and group counseling services to children, adolescents, and adults. As a member of a multidisciplinary team, provides clinical consultations with medical providers. Assist clients in accordance with established Agency and Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) guidelines. The Counselor is expected to meet the program’s productivity target for billable service each week. DUTIES/RESPONSABILITIES: • Provides individual and group counseling services to MH/SA patients • Assist Primary Care Provider with MH and SA patients • Provides brief intervention and crisis intervention as needed • Conducts initial patient assessments, intakes • Conducts psychosocial assessments • Develops treatment plans • Writes and maintains progress notes updated • Conducts appropriate discharge of patients • Maintains and updates client record • Makes appropriate referrals for clients, (within or outside of agency) • Engages in community outreach • Provide psychoeducation groups • Participates in administrative meetings • Participates in clinical supervision and seeks peer consultation as needed • Any other duties assigned by the supervisor EDUCATION: Master’s or higher degree in Counseling, Psychology or Social Work. LICENSURE: Current state licensure by the Georgia Board of Licensed Professional Counselors, or Social Workers is required.

Qualifications: QUALIFICATION: Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of DSM-V; strong knowledge of different counseling methodologies and techniques. Knowledge and experience in group counseling. Skills: Strong clinical and assessment skills, cultural competence Strong verbal and written skills Strong organizational skills to effectively perform multitasking Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, staff, and the public Bi-lingual English-Spanish or Asian language- English preferred Abilities: Ability to work as part of multi- disciplinary team, ability to provide vision, feedback, and creativity to a growing and changing behavioral health department.
