As an IT Business Analyst, you’ll play a pivotal role in implementing and supporting agency-wide enterprise systems. Your expertise will be instrumental in managing Microsoft 365 services, Enterprise Content Management systems, and various other IT solutions crucial to our mission.

In this role, you’ll independently provide top-tier IT business analysis and quality assurance skills, ensuring the seamless alignment of technical solutions with organizational objectives. Your responsibilities include offering mentorship to fellow analysts and testers, fostering a culture of excellence in software requirements management, testing, and business process engineering.

You’ll be a key contributor to our mission of protecting and enhancing the health of the people of Washington State by providing professional-level IT consultation, ensuring adherence to industry-standard methodologies, and collaborating closely with stakeholders to validate software requirements.

Education and/or professional experience in at least one of the following IT disciplines: business analysis or systems development. Option 1: Eight (8) years of experience AND out of the eight (8) years of experience required, the following criteria must be met within that timeframe: At least four (4) years of experience as a Business Analyst. At least two (2) years of experience as a Software Analyst or Software Developer. Option 2: Associates degree AND six (6) years of experience Option 3: Bachelor’s degree AND four (4) years of experience

At least One (1) year of experience in a Business Analyst or similar function performing the following: Experience in software development processes, including eliciting user requirements, analyzing and formally documenting business needs, processes, and workflows. Proficiency in preparing documentation including internal technical documents, system diagrams, use cases, test cases, and user manuals. Experience in translating complex technical issues into easily understandable concepts for staff, management, and the public.
