Position Description: As VP of Platform Development, you will lead the Engineering, DevOps, Product Support, and Quality Assurance teams towards the implementation of the STC|ONE Platform strategy and delivery. You will work to continually improve our processes, toolsets, and technical strategy for systems that are connecting the entire healthcare community and building a path to a healthier future for people all around the world. Additionally, you will be a key component of a group of people that challenge assumptions, fight for the users, advocates for testing best practices, and who are continually learning and growing. You'll be in a position to provide thought leadership, helping to define and implement STC'health's next-generation tools, processes, and products. You will therefore have the opportunity to make a significant impact to not only to STChealth and our customers, but also on the lives of people and communities around the world.

Job Responsibilities

Work with the leadership team to set clear priorities and goals for the Platform development, management and production, balancing the long-term and immediate needs. Develop and manage annual and quarterly budgets. Oversee data security, management, and governance. Manage strategic vendor and technology partner relationships. Plan and construct agile, cross-functional teams, goal/KPI setting, and performance metrics. Make infrastructure decisions, ensuring technical excellence, versatility, safety and soundness, resiliency and scalability in the architecting and engineering of product solutions, as well as managing all technical delivery. Facilitate the development and implementation of disaster recovery and security failure plans. Ensure tight collaboration across departments to drive strategic initiatives, including understanding of the alignment between technology strategy and various technology road maps. Create strategic plans and set timelines for evaluation, development, and deployment of all technical, web, and mobile services. Qualifications: Education and Experience

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field (master's degree preferred). 10 years previous experience as a VP, Director, or similar leadership role. Prior experience as a senior engineering leader overseeing architecture and engineering for enterprise-wide technology platforms and leading SaaS technology platforms. Broad knowledge of software engineering: languages, frameworks, techniques, and industry trends. Experience leading complex, major changes and initiatives; demonstrated skills in change management on an organizational and interpersonal level; experience with integrating teams across multiple business units and managing a geographically dispersed workforce. Experience designing and managing an effective Platform and Service-Mesh governance framework across the spectrum of IT service delivery. Qualifications and Skills

A deep understanding and ability to coach on the patterns and technologies employed in our modern platform including: Containerization and 12 Factor Kubernetes Service Orchestration Service Mesh Management using Linkerd Service API development using gRPC and GraphQL Data processing using reliable messaging patterns in Kafka Highly Distributed Systems and Strong Concurrent Design Heavily graph-based data structures and the importance of relationships as first order objects React with Typescript and Web Socket/Reactive patterns. MongoDB, Elastic and Postgres databases CQRS, Event Sourcing and Micro-Services AI/ML Model Topologies and incorporation of models into production systems. C#/Typescript/Python Strong department leader with skills in strategic planning, goal setting, process development, budgeting, and creating opportunities for professional development within technology teams. Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking abilities with a problem- solving aptitude. Solid understanding of broad technology trends and the ability to align innovation with business goals. Strong communication with ability to convey technical topics in easy-to-understand business terms and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners. Strategic smarts, including the ability to identify new opportunities, drive clarity, create focus, and make tough decisions in complex and dynamic contexts. Ability to track and identify new technologies to solve complex business issues.
