Los Angeles County Department of Public Health Substance Abuse Prevention and Control (SAPC) Health Analyst - Job Description Position: Exempt Monthly Salary: $7,873 Fully Paid Medical/Dental Insurance Contract Position through February 14, 2025
The following provides a general description of duties and a more specific description of requirements for the Staff Analyst – Executive Special Projects. This Staff Analyst focused on Executive Special Projects will initiate, manage, enhance, and execute a broad scope of projects aligned with strategic priorities of SAPC’s organization, including but not limited to the Reaching the 95% (R95) Initiative, Medi-Cal payment reform and the transition to valued based reimbursement, and other efforts to enhance access, quality, efficiency, sustainability, and/or other organizational priorities.
The duties of the Health Analyst – Executive Special Projects include, but are not limited to:
•Collaborates with multidisciplinary internal SAPC leadership and staff, as well as external stakeholders, includingSAPC’s provider network, to support SAPC’s strategic priorities including but not limited to efforts to enhanceaccess, quality, efficiency, and/or sustainability of services within the specialty substance use disorder (SUD) system.
•Proactively leads development and implementation of projects, plans, and meetings and/or events to advance SAPC’s aims including but not limited to the Reaching the 95% (R95) Initiative, Medi-Cal payment reform and the transitionto valued based reimbursement, and other efforts.
•Prepares reports, conducts and analyzes research and data, and provides consultation, training, and expertise forinternal and external leadership and staff to support SAPC’s strategic priorities.
•Performs analyses and evaluations of policies, legislation, data, and programs to support SAPC’s leadership and staffwith data- informed decision-making, strategy, and work.
•Develops partnerships and represents SAPC at convenings with various County, State, federal, and other public,private, and community-based agencies to collaboratively achieve SAPC’s goals throughconvening/leading/facilitating/attendi ng meetings, conferences, and other professional forums.
•Completes other duties, as assigned.
