Position Description: |
This individual will be fluent in English and Spanish and have a graduate degree/background in teratology, public health, genetic counseling, or a related field, with teratogen counseling experience strongly preferred. They will be responsible for responding to phone, chat and/or text inquiries from pregnant and lactating individuals, healthcare professionals, and the general public. They will review relevant research studies and educate these individuals about the risks and benefits of various exposures (medications, vaccines, supplements, etc.) during pregnancy and lactation using evidence-based research and provided talking points. This individual will also assist with entering call/chat/text data into the OTIS database in a timely manner, contributing to the development and/or updating of MotherToBaby educational resources, and helping with outreach to diverse populations to increase awareness of the MotherToBaby service. Training and ongoing support/continuing education will be provided. Starting pay will be competitive and depend on previous experience. Please note this position is an independent contractor who will work remotely (from home/personal office) for 40 hours/week, generally during regular business hours, Monday-Friday. Specific hours to be determined depending on the individual and fluctuating needs. Benefits, including vacation and sick time, health insurance, etc. are not provided. Individuals will need to provide their own phone and internet access, but a laptop will be supplied. Proof of insurance will be required.

Qualifications: |
Fluent in English and Spanish. Graduate degree/background in teratology, public health, genetic counseling, or a related field, with teratogen counseling experience strongly preferred.
