In this role within the Center for Epidemiologic Practice, Equity, and Assessment at the Department of Health (DOH), you'll be pivotal in promoting equity and social justice through epidemiologic practice. Reporting to the Equity & Health Assessment Manager, you'll compile, analyze, and maintain public health data aligned with Tribal values and priorities. You will demonstrate the principles of equitable data practice in all analysis and in all scientific and public health information disseminated through reports, articles, and/or data visualizations. You may be asked to provide data training and technical assistance within the governmental public health system on the principles of Tribal data sovereignty, data equity and equitable data practice.

Work Setting

This full-time, permanent position’s duty station is homebased. Telework (mobile work) is currently expected. Required in-office work is rare and infrequent and would be scheduled in advance.

Qualifications: Required Qualifications

Experience defined below may have been gained through paid or unpaid activities.

Option 1: Eight (8) years of experience with analytic responsibilities that include conducting statistical analyses of population health data or other analytic projects including epidemiological investigations, and data analytics in support of public health practice and decision-making.

Option 2: Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or closely related field AND four (4) years of experience with analytic responsibilities that include conducting statistical analyses of population health data or other analytic projects including epidemiological investigations, and data analytics in support of public health practice and decision-making.

Option 3: Master’s degree or higher from an accredited graduate school with a focus in Public Health, Epidemiology, or closely related field AND two (2) years of experience in a healthcare or public health setting with analytic responsibilities that include conducting statistical analyses of population health data or other analytic projects including epidemiological investigations or disease surveillance in support of public health practice and decision-making.
