Position Description:

The Research Scientist (RS) I will serve as a staff scientist contributing to the design and implementation of Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health (MCAH) program evaluation efforts for the Adolescent Family Life Program. The RS I uses tools and methods in the areas of program evaluation, statistics, project management, and informatics to engage in program evaluation and other scientific research studies to promote public health in maternal, child and adolescent health populations. The primary objective of these studies is to inform the design, targeting, and evaluation of prevention efforts. Up to 5% of travel may be required per month.

The incumbent works under the general supervision of the Research Scientist Supervisor (RSS) I, Chief of the Adolescent Program Evaluation and Data Unit.

Qualifications:

Experience: One year of research experience in a field relevant to the stated specialty. One year towards completion of an advanced degree of the stated specialty or a closely related field may be substituted for this experience. and

Education: Possession of a bachelor's degree in the stated specialty or a closely related field.
