As Credentialing Supervisor, you will oversee a critical aspect of our statewide health program, ensuring that more than 380,000 healthcare providers and over 7,000 facilities receive the necessary credentials to deliver quality care to our community. Your responsibilities will include supervising a section of our credentialing program, controlling daily operations, assigning tasks, providing coaching, and maintaining optimal workload balance within the team.

Key Responsibilities

Implementing the credentialing process of health care professions and facilities. Developing and implementing policies and procedures for the licensing of qualified healthcare providers, including credentialing health profession applicants that meet requirements under RCW 18.130 and health facility applications that meet associated statutes and requirements. Supervising one Credentialing Unit team that provides health services to the public.

Qualifications: Essential Requirements & Qualifications

Note: Experience defined below may have been gained through paid or unpaid activities. Please ensure any relevant experience defined below is outlined in your cover letter, resume, and/or applicant profile.

Five (5) or more years of progressively responsible experience in a health profession or facility credentialing program. Experience must include: Implementing credentialing processes and procedures in a regulatory environment that implements state statutes. Applying commonly used concepts, standards, and practices within a particular field of credentialing. Solving problems within a complex regulatory system and addressing customer complaints. One (1) or more years of experience providing subject matter technical expertise and quality review of work products using the Integrated Licensing and Regulatory System (ILRS) or a similar licensing database. One (1) or more years of supervisory or lead experience, preferably in a health services program.

AND

Six (6) or more months of experience using computer software as follows:

Word processing software, such as Microsoft Word, to create, format, edit, preview, print, and save documents; using standard functions to select, edit, copy, paste, format, and spell check text. Electronic communications and calendar programs, such as Outlook to compose, send, and respond to electronic mail, and coordinate schedules and schedule meetings.
