Position Description: Preventable illnesses still kill tens of thousands of people every year, however there is hope. Through vaccines, public health prevention programs, and data intelligence, the impact of many of these diseases is diminished. The battle is fought every day to ensure that communities are prepared, proactive, and empowered for any event or outbreak from bioterrorism and newly emerging disease to the old diseases that never left. Make an impact and join us in this fight at the front lines.

Your Role and Impact As an epidemiologist, you will support the STChealth analytics division by performing ad hoc analysis and creating visualizations to support our business stake holders. Under the supervision of the Director of Predictive Analytics, you will lead and collaborate with other members of the Analytics team to develop research questions, design new retrospective and prospective studies, develop data analysis plans, perform literature reviews, implement study protocol, perform complex epidemiologic analyses, and disseminate research findings to internal leadership, external stakeholders, and public health leadership.

You will have the opportunity to work across various sectors within public health, including: government, state and local public health departments, retail pharmacy, academia, and pharmaceutical manufacturers. The ideal candidate will enjoy learning new methods, approach research with end-user value in mind, and be a strong analyst, writer, and communicator. You will have the opportunity to work with other researchers, data scientists, as well as software developers and public health practitioners.

About You • You have an MPH or equivalent with experience in study design, epidemiologic analyses, and interpreting/ disseminating research findings • You have background using SQL to access and manipulate data • You have proven knowledge and are comfortable with large, public health datasets • You have experience with statistical computer languages (e.g. python, STATA) and demonstrated ability to draw insight from large data sets • You can communicate business interpretations of data to a wide variety of audiences in easy- to-understand terms • You have superior communication skills and thrive in a teamwork environment • You have an interest in learning new skills, including those traditionally outside epidemiologic training (machine learning, computer programming, business development)

About Us When you choose STChealth, you will be choosing a small company where you can make a big contribution. You'll be choosing a long- standing industry leader who has a 35-year history but a start-up mentality. And you'll be choosing to join a team of people determined to reduce the impact of preventable disease and empower people throughout the healthcare ecosystem.

Named one of Arizona's Top Workplaces, you will find that we are a highly engaged group of people, motivated and inspired by each other, and passionate about the collective work we do in creating intelligent solutions for healthier communities.
